My Photos: Italy -- Tuscany -- Lucca -- Churches

Here are photos of just a few of the dozens of historic churches
within the walled city center of Lucca.

Chiesa di San Michele en Foro
Construction from 8th Century to 14th Century

Legend says that in the 1300s, the bells in this tower
could be heard in Pisa, about 12 miles away,
so the Doge of Pisa had this belltower shortened.
