Chiesa di Sant'Agnese in Agone

Sant'Agnese in Agone,
at the center of Piazza Navona,
was built 1652 - 1668,
in honor of Saint Agnes,
who was martyred on this location in 304AD,
when the Piazza Navona was the site of the ancient Stadium of Domitian.

Her skull is on display in a shrine within the church.
