Chiesa di Santa Maria in Domnica alla Navicella, 5th cent. AD, rebuilt in 9th cent. and extensively remodeled in 16th century. Mosaics 9th century.  Top row Christ, 2 angels, and the 12 Apostles. Apse mosaic depicts Mary holding baby Jesus, flanked by angels. Pope Paschal I, credited with the 9th cent. renovations, kneels at Mary's feet. Note his square halo, indicating he was alive at the time of the mosaic's creation.
