The Beule Gate added at the base of the Acropolis circa 100 AD

Looking back down at the Beule Gate, named for
the French archaeologist who unearthed it.

Beule Gate had been buried by Turkish buildings constructed circa 1687

Walking up toward Propylaia (entrance to Acropolis)

The Propylaia was built around 437 BC
