Leeds Castle Original castle built here in 1086AD, which was a residence of King Edward I in the 13th century. In the 16th century, it was King Henry VIII's residence for his first wife, Catherine of Aragon. The current castle is a 19th century construction. Scroll to the bottom for hedge maze photos... The hedge maze was opened in 1988 And now, down into the Grotto... After completing the maze, and wandering through the grotto, we emerge back out into the bright sunshine.
