This nearly 200'-long hall connects most of the family's rooms, as well as their private basilica.  The grand mosaic depicts hunting scenes from across the Roman provinces. Private basilica midway down the great hall A semicircular apse finishes both ends of the long hall.  Mosaic female figures representing the furthest reaches of the Roman Empire at the time  -- Mauritania and India -- decorate these floors.
