My Photos: Greece -- Thessaloniki -- Design & Architecture

Walking in Thessaloniki, Greece's second largest city, it seemed like we came across Byzantine churches on every corner.  These churches date from between the 5th and 15th centuries.  Many were built upon ruins of Christian chapels, and some were converted to mosques during Ottoman occupation.

My photos here show just a sampling of the wealth of architectural and artistic brilliance we found.
